Gov. Tom Wolf is calling for the resignation of central PA Congressman Scott Perry stemming form his efforts to overturn the 2020 Presidential election.
In a social media post, Gov. Tom Wolf referred to the House January 6th committee, saying it’s clear that Perry drove a-quote-brazen attempt to corrupt the U.S. Justice Department and as a result he should-quote-do the right thing and resign. Several former Justice Department officials testified it was Perry tried to convince Donald Trump to appoint Jeffrey Clark as Attorney General, because he agreed with the former president’s baseless claims of election fraud.
Testimony also included efforts by Perry and five other Republican members of Congress to seek Presidential pardons following last year’s riot. Perry denies that claim.
