Gas prices continued to creep down daily this week, and that trend continues today.
The national average went down to $4.92 a gallon, down two cents from yesterday, and eight cents from last week, when the average price was $5.00 a gallon. Pennsylvania’s average also went down below $5.00 a gallon this week, with the statewide average at $4.98 a gallon, a drop of one penny from yesterday and six cents from last week.
Indiana County’s average this morning is now $5.00 a gallon, putting it in the middle of the list of averages in our region. The lowest average is $4.97 a gallon in Cambria County. Jefferson County’s average is one cent higher. Wesetmoreland County follows at $4.99 a gallon, followed by Indiana, then Clearfield County at $5.01 a gallon. Armstrong County’s average is the highest in our region at $5.02 a gallon.
Gas prices in Indiana Borough, Homer City, and Clymer range from $4.96 to $4.99 a gallon this morning, while Blairsville’s price is $4.99 a gallon this morning, according to Gasbuddy.com
