The Purchase Line School Board will meet tonight and the final adoption of next year’s budget is on the agenda.
The district’s budget comes to $20,792,851 in revenues and $21,128,407 in expenses. The district plans to cover the difference with a slight increase in taxes for district residents with taxes going up by 5 percent across the district. This means a .23 mil increase for Indiana County residents and a 5.79 mil increase for Clearfield County residents. The district also plans to use a fund balance of $355,556 to balance the budget.
Several hirings will also be addressed at tonight’s meeting, including the hiring of an athletic director, assistant football coaches, and the head and assistant coaches for boys and girls basketball. The board will also look to approve the tentative sports schedules for next school year.
As the board traditionally does not meet in July, there are many other motions on the table to prepare for the next school year. The meeting will be held tonight at 7:00 PM and will be held over Zoom Video Chat. To view the meeting, you can log on to https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84463786979
