Homer City Borough’s Public Works department is warning people of some upcoming road work that will start early next week.
Weather permitting, the Public Works Department will start a paving project on Monday morning at 7:00 AM on Canal Street from Sycamore to Columbia and on Station Street from North Main to the dead end. Milling starts Monday and traffic will be interrupted on that day. On Tuesday and Wednesday, those roads will be closed to all traffic. Vehicles parked on affected roadways will need to be moved before work begins.
Residents on Station Street and Canal Street will be allowed to park in Floodway Park during construction. Failure to move the vehicles out of the way will result in towing of the vehicles at the owner’s expense.
