The White Township Municipal Authority announced this week that it awarded a contract to a construction firm for the development of its sanitary sewage system.
The Bison Construction, Inc., of Fairmont City, Clarion County, submitted a bid of $3.0452 million, and was one of six contractors to bid on the service extension to 23 residential and 12 commercial properties along the Route 286 area. Areas include Campbell Lane; Ober, Hamill and Airport Roads; and a small business park along 286.
Bison previously constructed a sewage system in the Fulton Run area in 2019-20 and provided references for 13 sanitary sewage installations and 21 similar excavation projects for water service or stormwater drainage dating back to 2011.
The Route 286 East project will see the installation of 11,500 feet of 8-inch gravity sewer pipeline, as well as 3,600 feet of force main sewer line, manholes and a pump station.
Pending the contract’s acceptance, construction will start July 1.
