With the summer travel season rapidly approaching, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission announced that there’s a new way for drivers to pay tolls.
The old method of payment was under an all-electronic tolling system, which entailed having a picture taken of a car’s license plate and a bill mailed to the home of the license holder. The new method, however, gives drivers the option to set up an account on the PA Toll mobile application, thanks to a partnership between the Turnpike Commission and KUBRA Cash Payment Network.
Under this new system, drivers can pay turnpike tolls at participating retailers, such as Sheetz, CVS, Family Dollar and 7-11, and it can also be used to replenish E-Z-Pass accounts.
More information can be found by logging onto the Turnpike’s website, paturnpike.com.
