Fire leveled a barn and melted the aluminum siding on a nearby house in West Mahoning Township yesterday.
Firefighters from Plumville, Marion Center, Dayton, and Perry Township were dispatched to the location along Route 954 between Smicksburg and Trade City at around 1:30 PM and found the barn almost burned to the ground upon their arrival. Their work mainly involved saving the house.
No one was hurt. The homeowner was not publicly identified and no cause of the fire has been released.
