The Center Township Supervisors discussed Code Enforcement updates at their meeting on Monday night.
Supervisors remind residents that they are buckling down when it comes to Code Enforcement and that the township’s Code Enforcement officer has been putting pressure on residents that are not complying with township ordinances. They add that residents will get a warning if it is their first offense, but repeat offenders will be prosecuted.
Vice Chairman Jim Gatskie mentioned one issue the township is facing, which is mowing . He said that the township will work with residents to make sure that these ordinances are followed.
Ordinance enforcement was lenient last year due to COVID restrictions.
In other business, Supervisors announced that mowing patterns will be different than last year. The changes are due to the consistent increase in gas prices, but Gatskie said these changes won’t be drastic.
Supervisors also approved a bid from Pleasant Unity for Pipe and Catch Basins, which totaled more than $1,240, and they also approved two fuel bids. One from Accent Fuels and the other from Townsend Gas and Oil.
