Blairsville Borough Police have charged a Bolivar man for drug-related crimes after they say he was found unconscious in his car yesterday morning.
Officers said in a news release that they responded to a call at the Sheetz gas station along East Market St. shortly after 11 a.m. yesterday after an unnamed 32-year-old man was reported to be unconscious with his car in drive and his foot on the brake pedal.
A witness told officers that the driver almost hit his vehicle when pulling into the parking lot and that others in the area put the car in park and attempted to wake him up.
Officers were able to wake him up shortly after they arrived and arrested him after he was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Additionally, they found 46 stamp bags of heroin on him and four opened bags inside the vehicle.
He was charged with DUI, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Careless Driving and having an expired registration.
