The average cost of a gallon of gas held steady in Pennsylvania and in Indiana County, but the national average has gone up slightly once again.
The national average went up one cent today to $4.62 a gallon, which is an increase of three cents one week ago and of 45 cents from last month at this time. Pennsylvania’s average remained at $4.76 a gallon, and it’s a one cent drop from last week, but a 44-cent increase from last month at this time.
Indiana County’s average remained the same over the last 24 hours at $4.69 a gallon. This ties it with Jefferson County with the lowest average in the region. Westmoreland County’s average is $4.70 a gallon this morning, Cambria County is next highest at $4.71 a gallon, Armstrong County at $4.73 a gallon, and Clearfield has the highest in the region at $4.75 a gallon.
The lowest county-wide average is Greene County at $4.66 a gallon, while the highest county-wide averages are in Bradford County and Pike County. Both are at $4.89 a gallon this morning.
Gasbuddy.com reports that Indiana and Clymer gas stations are reporting $4.69 a gallon prices this morning, as is the downtown Blairsville Sheetz and the VP racing fuels on Route 22, however, the Route 22 Sheetz is reporting a $4.65 a gallon average.
