The 2022-2023 school district budget was given preliminary approval during last night’s River Valley school board meeting.
The vote went 5-3 with Beverly Carnese, Jessica Clawson and Melanie Pantalone voting against it. The budget balances at $35,991,770.
Pantalone said that she felt that the budget was not realistic in nature, and wanted to see more details than what was presented to the board at the committee level.
The school district budget will now be on display for 30 days at the district office and on the district’s website,www.rivervalleysd.org. The budget is expected to be approved at the school board’s next voting meeting on June 21st.
In other business, the River Valley School Board also approved the 2022-2023 ICTC budget. River Valley’s share of the budget would be $591,770, which represents an increase of $5,683.
