The Marion Center Volunteer Fire Department has received some funds from the people behind a popular skill game machine.
Miele Manufacturing, the parent company behind the Pennsylvania Skill game machines, recently made a $10,000 donation to the fire department. According to their website, the company is “committed to supporting causes that improve the communities and quality of life for Pennsylvania residents.”
Marion Center Fire Association President and Assistant Chief Gavin Misko said that the department was grateful for the donation, and that most of the money would go towards the replacement of the furnace in the social hall. He said that the furnace has not been upgraded since it was first put in place in the 1980’s.
