A sentencing hearing is set for this morning for one of the men charged in connection with the Valentine’s Day 2020 shooting and robbery at two student rental homes in Indiana.
22-year-old Samuel Wilson of Philadelphia pleaded guilty to a single charge of robbery to inflict serious bodily injury in connection with the shooting on Wayne Avenue. He was facing several charges including several counts of robbery and robbery-inflicting serious bodily injury, theft, receiving stolen property and aggravated assault.
Wilson was with Daron Reel, Mamadi Saccoh and Nafis Harper on the night of the incident, where they went to one student rental home to steal drugs from it. When they discovered they made a mistake, they went to a neighboring home to rob it, and Reel shot one of the occupants. That man survived his injuries.
Last Friday, Harper was ordered to serve 3-6 years in prison for a guilty plea to the same charge. Reel was already sentenced to three to ten years and Saccoh will be in court March 2nd for a plea hearing.
