Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger did not do his normal Wednesday media outing yesterday, but his teammates, guard Trai Turner and cornerback Joe Haden, did.
Turner remarked on his fellow guard Kevin Dotson’s return to the practice field, and on rookie tackle Dan Moore Jr., who will again match up with Browns’ superstar defensive end Myles Garrett on Monday night. Turner says Moore was outstanding the first time the teams played each other on October 31st.
While much of the attention this week has been on Roethlisberger potentially playing his final game at Heinz Field, Haden is also nearing the end of his contract and could also be playing his final game there, at least as a Steeler. Haden admits he’s thought about it, but says his focus is on beating his former team, the Browns, on Monday night.
The Steelers yesterday reinstated training camp standout Rico Bussey to the practice squad. The wide receiver has been on the practice squad injured reserve list all season and may be an option on Monday.
