Last night, Pitt Quarterback Kenny Pickett was in Baltimore, Maryland to receive the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm award. Pickett is the first Pitt Panther to win the award since 1987. The award goes to the top upperclassman quarterback who is scheduled to graduate with his class. The award road trip will continue for Pickett as he heads to New York for the Heisman Trophy ceremony tonight. The other three finalists for the Heisman Trophy include Bryce Young, Aidan Hutchinson, and CJ Stroud.
Meanwhile, Pickett has not announced a decision on whether he will play in the Peach Bowl or not, but a decision could come as soon as next week. Pickett told reporters that he wants to talk things over with his family and with coach Pat Narduzzi before making the call. Pitt will play Michigan State in the Peach Bowl on December 30th.
