Former Georgia quarterback Jake Fromme considered the likely starter for the New York Giants for their game with the Chargers this weekend.
Fromme was picked up off the Bills’ practice squad. New York’s starter Daniel Jones has a neck injury and last weeks starter Mike Glennon has been diagnosed with a concussion.
Meanwhile, Cam Newton is expected to be the starting quarterback for the Carolina Panthers for their next game against the Atlanta Falcons. Newton had been benched during a subpar performance in Carolina’s last game. Both the Panthers and Falcons are a game out of a playoff berth with 5-7 records.
