IUP junior middle hitter Caroline Walsh was named to the 2021 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II All-Atlantic Region team, recently announced by the organization following the conclusion of the regular season.
Walsh was an honorable mention selection and was one of 20 total players honored in the Atlantic Region. This is IUP’s first AVCA all-region selection since 2017.
A middle hitter and also a first team All-PSAC West pick, Walsh helped the Crimson Hawks finish with an 18-14 overall record and finish fifth in the PSAC West with an 8-8 league record.
She was one of the top hitters in the PSAC this fall ranking fourth with a .314 hitting percentage. She also finished third on the team with 206 kills and fourth with 1.82 kills per set. Walsh finished with six double-figure kill outings, including a career-high 13 on 21 attacks in the season finale victory at Clarion. She also finished with a team-best 91 blocks and 0.81 blocks per set.
