The White Township Supervisors are scheduled to meet this afternoon and one of the topics of discussion will be who will be a part of the new Woodlot Management Plan subcommittee.
The group will be a part of the Recreation Committee, and its purpose would be to oversee the township’s woodlot management, including the White’s Woods Nature Center. Twenty candidates were announced during a meeting in mid-October. During today’s meeting, the supervisors will receive a list of people who have been recommended for the post.
Also up for discussion today will be matching payments for recent donations to Citizens’ Ambulance Service. On November 16th, Indiana Borough Council approved a $40,000 donation to the ambulance service. Earlier this year, White Township had approved supporting Citizens’ with their own donation, and matching donations from other municipalities up to $50,000. Indiana Borough’s donation would put the challenge at it’s limit, as Center Township had also donated $10,000 to the cause.
Today’s meeting is at 1:00 at the White Township Municipal Building. It will also be streamed online. You can find streaming information at www.whitetownship.org
