At today’s White Township Supervisors meeting, the supervisors tabled officially naming the members of the Woodlot Management Plan Subcommittee.
Some of the supervisors said that they wanted to see the timeline compressed for the duties of the subcommittee. Township Manager Milt Lady said the original plan was to have the group work over three years, and he detailed their duties.
Some supervisors wanted to see the timeline reduced to 18 months. However, the board was happy with the five members recommended by the township staff. They include Barb Hague as the chairperson, and the four other board members are Ciara Davis, Dave Dahlheimer, Matthew Klunk and Jeffrey Geesey. The board will also possibly name up to two additional members taken from the list of those who had signed up to be considered for the subcommittee.
In other business, a second draft of the Deer Management Plan was submitted to the township supervisors for review. And finally, Lady announced his retirement to the board of supervisors effective January 14th. He has served White Township for over past 24 years. In his statement, Lady was quick to thank the staff, and he said he wanted to spend more time with his grandchildren.
