The news gets worse and worse for the Pittsburgh Steelers. A day after getting blown out in Cincinnati, the Steelers announced that linebacker TJ Watt was placed on the NFL’s reserve/covid list. Although the team does not confirm whether or not he tested positive, Watt must btest negative for two consecutive days and be asymptomatic before he can return to the team’s facilities.
Expect a smoldering coach Mike Tomlin to mince no words at his weekly news conference at noon today.
The Steelers’ performance Sunday does not bode well for facing the run-dominant Ravens on Sunday. Pittsburgh has fallen to 28th in the league in rushing defense, and has given up 195.3 yards per game in its last three games. The Steelers are 24th in total defense, and 23rd in scoring defense. Baltimore is second in the league in rushing offense and forth in total offense.
Baltimore leads the AFC North with an 8-3 record. Cincinnati is second, Cleveland third, and Pittsburgh is dead last with a record of 5-5-1, and a three-game winless streak.
