A Clymer man escaped injury in a crash early last Tuesday on Interstate 80 in Jefferson County. State police say a pickup driven by 38-year-old Kirby Griffin hit a patch of ice and skidded off the road and into the guide rail.
Later on Tuesday morning, the interstate was closed in both directions because of multiple crashes on the icy highway.
