Pitt football coach Pat Narduzzi says the Panthers have already put to rest the Coastal Division-clinching win over Virginia last Saturday and are focused on Syracuse, this week’s opponent. Pitt will travel to the Carrier Dome for a 7:30 PM kickoff Saturday night.
Narduzzi says the Panthers can’t afford to look past the 5-6 Orange, and that’s a lesson they should have learned by now after their losses to Western Michigan and Miami. Both of those games followed big Pitt victories, over Tennessee and Clemson. Being the ACC Coastal champions doesn’t mean a thing to the coach either.
Narduzzi says he will not rest any of his starters as the Panthers seek their tenth win of the season.
Four Pitt Panthers have received invitations to play in the Senior Bowl. Quarterback Kenny Pickett, long snapper Cal Adomitis, offensive tackle Carter Warren, and cornerback Damarri Mathis have all been asked to play in the game on February 5th.
