The annual United Way Turkeython was held today on the airwaves of WCCS, but this year, the tradition did see some changes.
This year’s, the Turkeython moved from Bill Otto’s Oldies Attic to Indiana in the Morning with Todd Marino. This morning, the annual fundraiser for the United Way raised so far $29,027.73, but there are more donations to come and a final total is expected either later today or on Saturday.
United Way Executive Director Jane Lockard was quick to thank all the volunteers that helped.
The money raised will go to the United Way to help its member organizations, and will be matched by local grocers to provide food and food cards to organizations that provide food to those less fortunate in Indiana County.
