An Indiana man was sentenced Wednesday in Indiana County Court on charges of indecent assault and child pornography.
38-year-old Jonathan Cox of Indiana was sentenced in two different cases. In one case, he pleaded guilty to the only charge brought against him, which was indecent assault of a person under the age of 16. He had been on probation for that charge after his sentencing in June of 2020, but that probation was revoked on August 11th of this year. He was placed on one year of probation and ordered to pay costs and fines. In the other case, he was charged with five counts of child pornography possession from January of 2019. He pleaded guilty to one count. For his guilty plea, he will serve six months to a day less than two years in Indiana County Jail along with two years of probation after his release. The sentences for both cases will run concurrently.
Also sentenced yesterday was 42-year-old Matthew Salsgiver of Indiana for two cases of retail theft. In each case, he was ordered to serve 3 to 12 months in county jail and was placed on probation for two years. The sentences will run concurrently.
