A one-vehicle crash tied up traffic this morning on a portion of Chestnut Ridge Road in Burrell Township.
Indiana County 911 reported that Blairsville and Black Lick fire departments were dispatched this morning at 5:34 AM for the crash. Black Lick fire officials say that a vehicle had veered off the road and hit a utility pole, bringing some of the lines down. Right now, Penelec and township crews are directing traffic around the scene as repairs are being made to the lines and the pole.
Right now, Chestnut Ridge Road between Strangford Road and a home at 104 Chestnut Ridge Road is closed.
Officials said the driver of the car fled the scene on foot after the collision.
