State Police are looking for a man who stole several items from an Indiana department store at gunpoint yesterday.
Troopers say at 3:00 PM, they were called out for a report of an unknown man at the JCPenney store at the Indiana Mall on Oakland Avenue. The suspect reportedly made a threatening gesture with a handgun and left the store with a cart full of merchandise without paying. He fled the scene in a black Dodge Avenger.
The suspect was described by police as a Hispanic male with a teardrop tattoo under one of his eyes, and was wearing khaki pants, a gray sweatshirt, boots and a tan coat. The suspect was also in the company of two unknown women.
Anyone with information on the theft is asked to contact Trooper Nicholas Smith at the state police barracks at 724-357-1960.
