IUP scorched the nets at the KCAC last night as the Crimson Hawks burned LeMoyne for their third straight win to start the season.

IUP is ranked number 18 in the NABC Coaches Poll. Early-season rankings can be unpredictable, though. D2SIDA, which is comprised of sports information directors across Division Two, released its Media Top 25 yesterday, with IUP moving up one spot to number five.
Last night’s win makes it 19 straight at the KCAC for the Crimson Hawks, who were 16-0 in their home building in 2019.
The IUP women are in action today as they play the annual Education Day Game. It’s at 11 AM as the women host Mount Aloysius on the court and hundreds of area school students in the stands. IUP is 2-0. Mount Aloysius is 0-2.

After two straight losses, the Pitt Panthers won for the first time last night, downing North Carolina Wilmington, 59-51. They almost gave away a 17-point second half lead, but they “won ugly”, according to coach Jeff Capel.
Femi Odukale scored 15 points to lead the Panthers and John Hugley added 13. Senior transfer guard Jamarius Burton made his first appearance as a Panther after having a knee procedure done last month. He scored seven points, including Pitt’s only three-pointer.
