After recent discussions among the IRMC Covid Committee, the hospital announced that starting Tuesday it will return to a “normal visitor policy.”
Effective tomorrow, inpatients and surgical patients that are not in Covid-19 isolation will be allowed two visitors. Visitation hours will run from 1 PM to 8 PM seven days a week. The hospital is saying that all employees, volunteers, patients, contractors and visitors must comply with the universal mask mandate in place, regardless of Covid-19 vaccine status. Also, all visitors must be over the age of 16. Outpatient testing areas and the emergency department are encouraging patients to come without a support person unless that person is required for patient support, like wheelchair assistance.
As of Monday, the hospital has 29 covid-19 positive inpatients. Seven patients are in the ICU.
