The Steelers’ Ben Roethlisberger will miss this afternoon’s game against Detroit after he landed on the covid-19 list yesterday.
The Steelers announced last night that Roethlisberger was placed on the reserve/covid list. They did not announce whether or not he had tested positive. Under league policy, since he is fully vaccinated, he can return as long as he is asymptomatic and he tests negative twice at least 24 hours apart. If he is symptomatic, he must have two negative tests and be asymptomatic for at least 48 hours. Without the two negative tests, he must remain isolated from the team for at least 10 days and would miss next week’s game in Los Angeles against the Chargers.
Mason Rudolph will start for the Steelers against the winless Lions. He last played in a regular season game in the season finale last year against Cleveland.
