Today is Veteran’s day. Originally meant to celebrate the signing of the armistice to end World War I in 1918, today it celebrates those who have served our country in the armed forces.
As today is a federal holiday, there are several closures in effect. Federal, state and local government offices are closed for today. This includes PennDOT Driver’s license centers. State liquor stores normally open on a Thursday will be open normal hours. There is no regular mail delivery and post offices will be closed. Banks are closed today as well.
