With the Arizona Fall League in its final two weeks, Pirates’ prospects Nick Gonzales and Ji-hwan Bae have been selected to play in Saturday’s 15th Fall Stars Game.
Gonzales is hitting .381 with four doubles, two triples, two homers, and 13 RBIs in 17 games for Peoria. Bae is batting .269 with two doubles, two home runs, and nine RBI’s.
In addition to those honors, Bucco pitching prospect Roansy Contreras was chosen Tuesday as the AFL pitcher of the week for throwing three perfect innings and striking out five in his start against the Surprise Saguaros.
