Emergency crews were busy on Sunday with a variety of different calls for service.
The calls started at 1:06 AM on Sunday, with an automatic fire alarm activation on Anthony Run Road in Armstrong Township. Indiana Fire Companies four and one were dispatched at the time. Indiana Fire Association members were called out later in the morning for a utility pole that caught fire at 10:52 AM on Hamil Road in White Township.
A vehicle accident was reported on Route 711 in East Wheatfield Township at 12:08 PM. The Armagh/East Wheatfield Volunteer Fire Company, state police and Citizens’ Ambulance were called to the scene at that time. Few details are known at this time about the crash as State Police have not yet released a report on the incident.
And a vehicle fire was reported on Parkwood Road in Armstrong Township at 6:10 PM. Elderton fire department was initially dispatched, but Indiana Fire Association was called to assist eight minutes later.
