Two Indiana County school boards meet tonight, with one of them holding a special voting meeting in addition to its planning meeting.
The Homer-Center board will vote tonight on a number of personnel items, including the hiring of a high school English teacher, a paraprofessional, and two cafeteria workers. The board will also vote on a motion to approve an elementary school volunteer.
Homer-Center will also hold its regular planning meeting.
The Penns Manor board will hold its committee meeting. There will be an executive session dealing with athletic department personnel and an update on the applicants for the business manager position. Among the agenda items are the potential hiring of a long-term special education teacher, the hiring of a head coach and assistant coach for softball, and assistant coaches for baseball and for Junior High girls’ basketball. The board will also consider the resignation of the head volleyball coach.
The Transportation Committee will present a list of drivers for hire and the Buildings & Grounds Committee will provide a top soil update.
