Indiana Borough Police have charged a Butler man with stealing a car and other crimes connected with an incident last night at a business on Philadelphia Street.
Police say that a car was stolen from the parking lot of a business in the 300 block of Philadelphia Street. Through the investigation, investigators discovered that 36-year-old Benjamin L. Whittington took the car and drove it to a nearby address. Police were able to find both the vehicle and Whittington there. He was taken into custody without incident.
He was charged with theft of a motor vehicle, driving on a suspended license and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was placed in Indiana County Jail to await his arraignment hearing.
