On the success of the recent food distribution efforts, Center Township and ICCAP are looking to hold another food distribution to help people around Thanksgiving.
Center Township Supervisors made the announcement during the township meeting on Monday night. Supervisor Jim Gatskie said that the organization is looking to buy everything needed for a Thanksgiving meal to distribute to those less fortunate.
The township will use leftover CDBG-CV funding to purchase the food. While the date of the food distribution is not set in stone yet, the supervisors look to use the township office as the food distribution point once again.
Also during the meeting, the supervisors reminded everyone about borough code concerning prefabricated buildings and sheds. Building permits are required for many of those types of buildings, and supervisors say they have had to ask people to move or remove the shed because they did not have the proper permit for it.
