An Ernest man was arrested Thursday and charged with drug delivery resulting in death for an incident in Indiana County.
State police say that 33-year-old Andrew Kirk Rankin was arrested on Thursday by members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force working with the state troopers and members of the state police fugitive task force and the Troop A criminal investigation unit. Rankin was charged on September 1st with felony counts of Drug Delivery Resulting in Death, Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, and Criminal Use of Communication Facility. Police have not provided details on the incident at this time.
Rankin is now in Indiana County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail and his preliminary hearing is set for November 10th in front of District Judge Guy Haberl.
