State Representative Jim Struzzi is encouraging local municipal officials to apply for PENNVEST funding for drinking water, wastewater, and non-point source projects.
Struzzi and Senator Joe Pittman both are members of the PENVEST board, which this week approved 33 projects in 20 counties worth a total of $186 million, $50 million of it in grants. None of the 33 projects are in Indiana County.
Struzzi says it’s a “tremendous opportunity”…to apply for low-interest loans or grants for sewer, storm water, and drinking water projects.
The next PENNVEST meeting is January 19th. The project application deadline for the meeting is November 3rd. The next opportunity will be April 20th of next year, with a deadline to apply of February 2nd. You can contact Struzzi’s office for assistance.
