PSP-INDIANA
Two Clymer men were charged with simple assault and harassment for a fight that happened on Friday afternoon. State police report that at 3:00 PM, an un-named 58-year-old man and a 65-year-old man were involved in an argument that turned physical when the younger man punched the elder in the chest, and the elder retaliated by striking the younger man in the face. Troopers said that while they were investigating, the 58-year-old became agitated with police, shouting obscenities and making vulgar gestures to the point that police had to use physical force to secure the scene and gain compliance.
State police have released information on a crash that happened last week in South Mahoning Township. Police say that an unidentified 17-year-old boy from Templeton was driving his car south on Route 85 in South Mahoning Township near the intersection with Route 210. The vehicle went off the west side of the road, hit an embankment and then a stump with its front end. The car rotated 180 degrees then went down the embankment on the other side of the stump before stopping at the bottom of the embankment next to the road. The driver and a 14-year-old Rural Valley boy had suspected minor injuries and were treated on-scene by Citizens Ambulance.
INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana borough police charged an Ernest man with DUI for an incident Thursday morning along Pratt Drive. Police say that at 1:56 AM, police officers pulled over a vehicle driven by Alex Cessna for running a stop sign at the intersection of Pratt Drive and Locust Street. Cessna was found to have been drinking an alcoholic beverage prior to being pulled over, and was under the age of 21 as well. He was taken out of the car and arrested for DUI, underage drinking while driving, and summary vehicle violations.
Indiana Borough Police reported that they are investigating a damaged vehicle that was discovered on Friday. Police say that the vehicle was discovered in the “00” block of South Carpenter Avenue, with the windshield damaged sometime between 6:00 PM on October 21st and 9:45 AM the next day.
