The State System of Higher Education has launched a new campaign to highlight the value of a State System education and advocate for increased financial support from the commonwealth.
Called Together4PASSHE, the campaign seeks to increase awareness about the impact of the State System, enhance affordability and expand access for students, reestablish the connection between state funding and student outcomes, and strengthen the financial stability of the state-owned universities.

Together4PASSHE encourages students, faculty, staff, trustees, and graduates to share news and messages with their social networks and promote strengthened relationship with state legislators.
Each month on the State System website, there will be new materials published on a special “Advocacy Resource Center” page. The theme for October is “Contributions to the State,” highlighting the public good from the State System schools for the university communities and the state of Pennsylvania.
The Board of Governors last week authorized a request for a 15 percent increase in the state’s appropriation for State System funding, and $201 million in direct state funding to “reclaim…affordability, reducing the financial burden on students.” The $73 million appropriation increase would bring the state’s funding to an all-time high of $550 million.
