The lack of police officers on the Blairsville police force was a topic of discussion at Tuesday night’s Blairsville Borough council meeting.
Borough Manager Mike Baker said that it has been a challenge to keep the department fully staffed.
Baker said that the borough will advertise for the open police department positions very soon.
In other business, Baker said that the budget is coming together and the borough’s finances going into 2022 look to be very healthy. Final numbers for the 2022 budget will go before the board in November for a motion to advertise.
