INDIANA BOROUGH POLICE
Indiana Borough Police have charged an Indiana man with drug-related crimes for an incident Thursday night. Police say at 8:49 PM, they were dispatched to the Sheetz at the intersection of 4th and Philadelphia Streets to arrest Rodney Campbell, who had an active arrest warrant out for him. When he was taken into custody, police found that he was in possession of heroin and heroin paraphernalia. He was lodged in Indiana County Jail on the warrant, while a criminal complaint was filed on charges of possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia. He is due in Indiana County Court today for a session of DUI Criminal Call, and will be in court on October 22nd for a pre-trial conference in a case where he faces two counts of possession of a controlled substance and of drug paraphernalia for a case in April of this year.
An Indiana man faces charges related to a domestic incident on Wednesday. Indiana Borough Police say they were called out to a home in the 1100 block of Church Street at 3:33 PM for the incident, as a woman living there reported that 37-year-old Bradley Smith appeared to be under the influence of drugs and during an argument, struck her and broke her cell phone. He then left the residence. Police found him on the street, and he was taken into custody. He also had three outstanding warrants filed against him. He was placed in Indiana County Jail on the warrants, and a criminal complaint was filed charging him with simple assault, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, harassment and public drunkenness.
A Coraopolis teenager was charged with retail theft on Wednesday at a convenience store in Indiana Borough. Borough police were called out at 8:12 PM on October 13th to the Sheetz on 4th and Philadelphia Streets for a report of retail theft. Police found that 19-year-old Zachary Liscsak was seen taking items out of the store without paying for them. He was cited for retail theft via summons.
