Four members of the IUP women’s tennis team have been selected to compete at the 2021 ITA Cup, Thursday through Sunday at Berry College in Rome, Georgia. It’s the first time in IUP tennis history that anyone has qualified for this event.
Karolin Kirchtag, Katy Graydon, Joanna Stralka, and Natasha Munday will play in the tournament.
Kirchtag will be the only IUP player in the singles field, and will team with Graydon as automatic doubles qualifiers for winning the doubles championship at the ITA Regionals two weeks ago. Munday and Stralka will also compete in doubles after receiving at-large bid into the tournament as a result of being regional finalists.
The event was formerly known as the Small College Nationals. It is the only singles and doubles national championship event for the Division II and NAIA levels.
