After rebuilding his depleted roster in the off-season, Pitt basketball coach Jeff Capel has to wait a bit longer for one of his new players to join the team.
Transfer guard Jamarius Burton had a surgical procedure on his left knee on Friday and will miss four to six weeks of action. Burton transferred from Texas Tech after transferring there from Wichita State. He has two years of eligibility at Pitt.
The Pitt basketball season begins November 9th at home against The Citadel. On the 12th, they will renew the Backyard Brawl with West Virginia in Morgantown.
