Pennsylvania will elect a new governor next year, and while no Democrats have announced their candidacy because Attorney General Josh Shapiro is thought to be the overwhelming favorite, there are nine candidates for the Republicans so far.
A new Susquehanna poll released this week puts former Congressman Lou Barletta in the lead, with 27 percent of likely Republican voters. Scott martin is second, at only six percent, and Joe Gale and Jason Richey each have one percent. Bill McSwain, Guy Ciarocchi, Charlie Gerow, Nche Zama and Dan Laughlin all polled less than one percent.
Four percent said none of the candidates were their preference, and 60 percent said they were undecided.
