A former District Judge was ordered to serve probation for charges of DUI and Reckless Endangerment on Friday.
State Police filed those charges against 46-year-old Jennifer Rega of Blairsville for an incident that happened January 20th of this year. Troopers pulled over her car after they noticed several traffic violations. When police approached the vehicle, one trooper noticed the smell of alcohol coming from the vehicle. Rega showed many different signs of impairment, and her blood alcohol level was at 0.11 percent.
Rega pleaded guilty yesterday to Driving Under the Influence and two counts of reckless endangerment, as there were other people in the car at the time. For each count, she was ordered to serve six months of probation. Senior Judge Timothy Creany ordered that each sentence run concurrently. She was also ordered to pay applicable fines.
Also on Friday, Kyle W. Rider was re-sentenced for a case where he was charged with possession with intent to deliver for an incident on February 12th of 2020. He was sentenced on September 7th to five to ten years in state prison, with credit given for time served for a guilty plea to Possession with Intent to Deliver. In his re-sentencing, he was ordered to serve 12 months of probation to run consecutively to his parole.
