On Thursday night, Homer-Center High School Principal Jody Rainey was elected by the Penns Manor School Board to fill the unexpired term left after a board member resigned last month.
During the special voting meeting, the board interviewed Rainey along with Ron Larch and Shawn Schwartz, and after the interviews, the board voted 6-2 to appoint Rainey, and he was sworn in immediately.
Rainey talked about why he wanted to join the board.
Rainey will serve on the board until December of 2023.
In other business, Superintendent Daren Johnston acknowledged the upcoming resignation of Joshua Muscatello, the district’s business manager and board secretary.
