On last night’s edition of Hawk Talk on 92.5 FM U92 and the U92 YouTube Channel (bit.ly/HawkTalk10421), IUP football coach Paul Tortorella talked about last week’s win over Gannon and previewed the matchup this Saturday at Clarion.
Tortorella said his focus is always primarily on his own team improving, and the opponent is secondary.
Clarion lost to Slippery Rock, 75-0, last week, but Tortorella says he expects them to be a much tougher challenge this week.
Tortorella says IUP has started well in its last two games, but they need to guard against easing up when they get a lead.
IUP is 3-1 and Clarion will come into Saturday’s game at 0-5. The Golden Eagles have given up a combined 193 points in their last three games.
