The Pirates reached a dubious milestone last night…their 100th loss of the year.

Pitcher Tanner Anderson was recalled from Indianapolis and Roansy Contreras was optioned out as the Pirates look for arms to finish the season.
The final series of the season begins tonight at PNC Park when the Bucs host the Reds. Wil Crowe makes his final start of the year for the Pirates against Cincinnati’s Luis Castillo.
Oneil Cruz is feasting on Triple-A pitching. The former Altoona shortstop was promoted to Indy after the Curve’s season ended and last night he homered for the fifth time in six games. Cruz was 1-for-2 with three walks.
