IUP will look to rebound this weekend as they take on Mercyhurst in Erie today.
IUP is coming off a 37-21 loss at home to #11 Shepherd last Saturday, bringing IUP to 1-1 on the season. Mercyhurst is not doing much better as they are 1-2 and dropped two straight matches to West Chester and last week’s game against East Stroudsburg.
The all-time series between these programs dates back to 2008 when the Lakers joined the PSAC. After two early losses, IUP has won nine straight over Mercyhurst and is averaging 36.3 points per outing.
