Traffic on Route 286 in Rayne Township could be slowed due to a crash involving a coal truck.
Indiana County 911 reported the crash at 8:43 this morning on Route 286 East. Clymer Fire Department, along with Citizens’ Ambulance and State Police were dispatched at that time. Initial scanner reports said that a coal truck had overturned off the road and into a ditch. The truck was carrying a full load of coal at the time.
The driver was able to get out on their own and was coherent with authorities already on the scene. No word yet on how long the cleanup effort will take, but we know that the road is still open.
